Milani Amore Mattalics Lip Creme

Apparently none of my local drugstores had Milani's Amore Matte Lip Cremes (the original formula), but I did see these Amore Mattalics (as in, metallics), so I made sure to grab a few, because I've heard good things.

I picked up four: Matterialistic, Raving Matte, Automattic Touch, and Dramattic Diva

The texture is closer to NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cremes than, say, ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lips - slightly more cream than liquid, and soft. I find that it has much better staying power than NYX's, though, but not as good as ColourPop's Mattes. It's more on par with ColourPop's Satins: I HAVE to use oil to clean off ColourPop's Mattes, but I can basically scrub off the Satins with some effort. These Milani ones are like that - they're not budgeproof, but they require a little work to clean off too. They were a little drying, but my lips were already feeling dry anyway. They didn't help, but they didn't make things worse either.

They wear pretty well, and they look gorgeous, but my complaint about them is the scent - it made me feel a little sick when I first apply the lipcolor, but it disappears after a while. It's kind of sickly sweet :(

Matterialistic
Raving Matte
Automattic Touch
Drammatic Diva
Drammatic Diva in particular reminded me of KVD's Studded Kiss Lipstick in Sexer while in the tube, but I found that it applied a little sheerer than I expected. It's still really nice though.

There are eight shades total. They still cost more than ColourPop, so they won't become my go-to matte lip products or anything, but they are a nice addition to my stash, since I didn't already have any metallics.
