ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip liquid lipsticks: Marshmallow, TooLips, Panda, and Prim

Yessss. My order for the new ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip liquid lipsticks just arrived, and I had to test them out.

These are supposed to be a little less dry than their Ultra Mattes, and while I haven't had a chance to test these out for a full day yet, I did find that they applied slightly creamier. In fact, my tube of Marshmallow felt pretty much like one of NYX's Soft Matte Lip Creams, but I think that was an anomaly.

I got four shades for now, the ones that I knew I wanted immediately after quickly glancing through the collection:

First is Marshmallow, which apparently looks beautiful everywhere except on my face :/

It also didn't help that I was wearing a bright blue dress to test these out, probably. It's a "greyed out lavender," and purples and grays are what I love best, but I'm not so sure it pairs too well with my skin. I'm going to see if I can wear it with another product, perhaps as part of an ombre lip, or even just wear a shirt color that works better. IDK. I love this color so much, and the formula and pigmentation are fantastic. I SO want to make it work :/ If you have any good ideas for how I can make this more wearable, leave me a comment?

This next one, though - TooLips is my JAM!

It's a "deepened plum brown," which also is exactly in my wheelhouse. This is my favorite of these four.

Panda is a "deep pink violet," and in the tube it looks like so many other fuschia lipsticks I've seen before, but it goes on darker, and I think there's something coolly retro about it. (Especially against my blue dress.)

And last is Prim, which is a "dark blackened red."

I do own a lot of these dark reds, but they are just absolutely awesome colors. I think this would've been great for fall/deep winter. (And no, I wouldn't normally wear purple eyeshadow with this shade of lipstick =P)

Again, I still have to test these for wear, but I'm pretty much anticipating that these will be great overall, just like the Ultra Mattes. I used MAC Cleanse Off oil to remove these, and found that they stained/smeared more than the Mattes did - my mouth looked like I had just eaten popsicles or something.

But so far, as a first impression? I love these. I'm definitely going to pick up a few more.
