Swatches - Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

I have to admit, I had my doubts. UD has been promoting this entire collection as "shades that Gwen would wear," and you know what? Gwen Stefani looks NOTHING like me.

However, my curiosity was piqued, and to my surprise, when I tried it out in person at the UD counter, it actually worked pretty well on my medium-tan skin! I have to build a little more to contour with it, but all in all, everything was beautifully pigmented and complemented my complexion really well!

Here are some swatches for you:

Top row: Cherry, Baby, Angel

Bottom row: Lo-Fi, Hush, OC
My arm's a lot tanner than my face, by the way, so here are some action shots. I've actually been wearing it pretty much every day since I got it, and I like it a lot. I don't always want the shimmer highlight though, because sometimes it makes me look sweaty - I'd gladly trade in one of those for a matte highlighter.

This was applied on me in-store by the UD girl. (I'm wearing Gwen's 714 lipstick too.)

And this was my own application:

Subtle? Yes. But I'm not one for dramatic contouring anyway.

So, yeah, I actually, surprisingly, really love this palette, and it's making me rethink my initial stance on the Gwen eyeshadow palette - I could see using one of the (many) light neutrals as a highlight, especially the matte ones. The two palettes together would make good travel companions :)
