Swatches: Too Faced La Petite Maison

For whatever reason, the last time I was at Ulta, I totally fixated on this palette, and I had to have it. Okay, actually, it would be more accurate to say that there WAS a reason I fixated on this, and it's because 1) IT'S SO CUTE, and 2) it's all my favorite colors (neutrals and purples).

Too Faced's La Petite Maison palette is an Ulta exclusive - I think there are two others called Le Grand Chateau and Le Grande Palais as a part of their Christmas in Paris collection. It consists of a cute pop-up/fold-out case as you see above, containing a deluxe sample size of their Better Than Sex mascara (which, tbh, I'm not fond of) and a palette with twelve eyeshadows:

I found the shadows to be pretty good - not the world's best, but not terrible. I've had a chance to use it a few times since buying it, and I definitely like the color selection, but I wish it were a tad more pigmented.

I do think it's worth a buy, if you're into Too Faced and cute packaging and the colors that are in the palette, especially if you've got that 20% off ERRR-thang coupon that Ulta just sent out.

Here are some swatches for you (I used my fingers, on my bare skin):

It's a nice mix of textures, and as I've already said, these are my favorite colors to work with. I'm definitely glad I bought it. I decided to take the palette out to keep with the rest of my makeup, and to display the pop-up box on my shelf with my UD Book of Shadows boxes.
